The Assistant Store Manager is an essential part of the store leadership team and is responsible for collaborating with the Store Manager to cultivate and maintain an environment that supports the Boot Barn Mission, Vision, and Values. This role is vital in upholding exceptional customer service, partner development, merchandising standards, store operations, and achieving sales goals. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager and District Manager to pursue year-over-year growth and process improvements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed expectations to build long-standing customer relationships. Review goals with partners, providing coaching, feedback, and recognition. Be present on the sales floor during peak hours. Implement and maintain a culture of continuous learning; assist with partner training to improve performance across operational and merchandising areas. Develop team members for career growth. Collaborate with the Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs, adjust schedules, implement directives, and communicate with district and support center partners. Assess and communicate local customer needs to the Store Manager. Plan and execute volume-driving events involving community outreach. Lead and coach associates in building customer engagement through loyalty programs, ensuring team goals are met. Maintain merchandise stock levels, presentation standards, signage, and assortments to meet customer needs and adhere to visual guidelines. Ensure markdown compliance, accurate processing of product receipts, and execute inventory strategies to reduce shrinkage. Maintain knowledge across product categories and train partners accordingly. Complete all opening and closing procedures per standards, adhering to attendance policies. Comply with all legal, company policies, and procedures. Demonstrate business acumen and professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork. Perform additional duties as assigned by the District Manager or Support Center.
