MUST:
Experienced Security Engineer
Top Secret cleared with SCI eligibility required
4+ years of relevant experience (military, civil service, or private sector)
Hands-on experience with badge access systems and physical security integration
Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Functional knowledge of GSA policies regarding security containers and locking mechanisms
Experience supporting SCIF design, installation, and access control implementation
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and briefings
Bachelor's Bachelors required (or associate in engineering with additional 5 years of work experience)
DUTIES:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting SCIF projects, designing and maintaining badge access systems, and ensuring compliance with ICD 705 and GSA security container requirements. This position requires a technical subject matter expert (SME) capable of overseeing access control systems from design through accreditation.
Key Responsibilities include:
Design and develop IC badge system wiring diagrams, including sub-components, readers, and wire routes
Review design documentation and submit IV&V and configuration management documents
Provide SME-level support for the submission of technical documentation related to system accreditation
Lead the design, installation, and management of badge reader systems for SCIF facilities
Troubleshoot badge system and communication failures with Other Government Agencies (OGAs)
Ensure compliance with ICD 705 physical security standards and GSA policies related to containers and locks
Provide oversight for SCIF access control systems, including electromechanical lock hardware
Apply expert knowledge of SCIF lifecycle requirements and secure facility protocols
Coordinate and document system installations and upgrades as part of accreditation packages
