Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Software Updates)

Core Responsibilities Include: Help debug and triage issues spanning hardware and software. Create test plans to validate new and existing software update areas. Create and maintain automated tests to enable comprehensive testing of Software Update technology. Collaborate with the Software Development team to support rapid code changes. Articulate failures, identify issue trends, and quantify impact with a focus on customer experience. Strong bug reporting skills and clear communication with management and cross-functional teams. Participate in team code reviews, design discussions, and testing discussions. Own the overall testing and quality assurance of the product. Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer. Proficiency with Python or other scripting languages. Experience with automation frameworks and tools development. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications

Excellent bug reporting skills and clear communication with management and teams. Experience setting up Continuous Integration systems supporting multiple projects. Knowledge of C, ObjC, Swift is a plus. Experience with automation planning, execution, and triage on platforms like iOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS. Data analysis experience with Splunk, Tableau, or similar tools. Self-motivated learner with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to meet tight deadlines. Creative thinker capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Note: Apple offers a competitive total compensation package, including base pay, stock programs, benefits, and educational reimbursement.
