SUMMARY The Counsel, Regulatory Compliance Data & Analytics will be responsible for managing the data and analytics program related to healthcare regulatory compliance across our network of properties. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our Legal and Business Insights teams to develop data platforms that enhance Welltower’s regulatory compliance and analytics infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and oversee processes for collecting, organizing, documenting, and storing healthcare regulatory compliance data, including licensure information, across all business segments, such as skilled nursing and senior housing facilities. Collaborate with the Business Insights team on data collection efforts. Partner with Legal and Business Insights teams to ensure accurate tracking of regulatory and business insights data. Coordinate with partners, operators, and third parties to ensure consistent data collection and compliance with federal, state, local, and other regulatory requirements. Utilize federal, state, and other databases to identify useful data for the business. Identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and risks. Work with Privacy and Security Officers to develop, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for compliance programs. Communicate current trends and regulatory changes to stakeholders, including internal teams, industry associations, and regulators. Advise on regulatory and compliance aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, and operator transitions, including assisting with ownership change applications and disclosures. Perform any additional projects as assigned. OTHER DUTIES This job description is not exhaustive and duties may change at any time with or without notice. TRAVEL Some travel, including overnight trips, may be required. REQUIREMENTS Law degree (required). CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) certification preferred. At least 5 years of healthcare regulatory compliance experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or senior care settings. Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, licensing, Medicare and Medicaid programs, and COVID-19 reporting requirements. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Ability to extract, analyze, and summarize data from multiple sources. Understanding of healthcare documentation and electronic software systems.
