Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient storage, movement, and documentation of incoming and outgoing materials. This role will support light fabrication work, including assembly, repair, and installation of conveyor belts and related components. Responsibilities Include: Read work orders, packing slips, and sales orders to determine materials required. Move materials from receiving area to production or storage areas. Transfer finished goods to shipping and move work-in-progress between departments. Weigh and count items to ensure conformance with standards. Unload trucks, check in merchandise, and match purchase orders to packing slips. Prepare and process parcels for shipment. Work with truck carriers and couriers for delivery coordination. Record all incoming and outgoing materials in the appropriate system. Sort and store materials by size, type, style, color, or product code. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory. Maintain accurate shipping records and notify supervisors of discrepancies. Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies as needed. Build, repair, conveyor belts and components. Perform belt vulcanizing and other fabrication tasks. Assist with equipment setup and assembly in-house or at customer locations. Maintain a clean, organized work area at all times. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations. Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or Shipping & Receiving preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude; experience with fabrication or installation work a plus. Computer literacy for inventory and shipping systems. Organization and prioritization skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong math and computer skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Desired Characteristics: Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Physical Demands: The Material Handler may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time. Work Environment: Work is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud. Generally well-ventilated and well lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position in fabrication shop and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent travel, overnight, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required. Pay Range:

$19.00 - $23.00 an hour
