Job Summary: Acadian Asset Management LLC is a Boston-headquartered investment management firm managing approximately US$121 billion. They are seeking a Data Implementation Engineer to drive data transformation efforts, build and optimize data pipelines, and enhance their data infrastructure in alignment with innovative investment strategies. Responsibilities: • Quickly understand our current data systems, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. • Use the latest tools and foundations from our Data Platform Engineering group to develop new data pipelines that integrate with existing systems. • Engage with systems to understand their operations and lead the transition to modern, efficient architectures. • Work closely with the Data Integration and Analysis teams to modernize processes and ensure the smooth implementation of new data pipelines. • Constantly iterate and enhance our data infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Strong background in data management, ideally 2+ years of experience within a financial or tech-driven environment. • Knowledge of modern data architectures and pipelines, including experience with Medallion architecture, data lakehouse, composable data systems, and microservices. • Familiarity with Data Mesh architecture for decentralized data ownership and management. • A passion for building systems that are efficient, scalable, and reliable. • An understanding of how your work fits into the broader investment process, ensuring the delivery of optimal outcomes for clients and driving business impact.
