Six-Month Probationary Period, followed by Annual Contract Status:
Exempt, 30 hours/week General Summary: The Executive Director of Aldersgate Homes, Inc. provides mission-aligned leadership with a focus on
communication, education, fundraising, and strategic support . This role collaborates closely with the Board of Directors to deliver services and advocate for individuals with disabilities. Learn more at https://www.aldersgatehomes.org/. Key Responsibilities: Communication & Public Relations
Write and edit the Gateway Newsletter and other publications. Create and distribute promotional materials (print and digital). Coordinate speaking opportunities to promote the mission. Manage social media, website updates, and public messaging. Prepare and manage display tables at events.
Education & Advocacy
Develop educational programs aligned with organizational goals. Build relationships with churches, partners, and the community. Represent Aldersgate Homes at conferences and events.
Fundraising & Development
Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including the Annual Special Offering. Support new fundraising initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with donors and supporting organizations. Manage donor records and acknowledgments.
Administrative & Financial Oversight
Maintain organizational documents and records. Use QuickBooks for financial transactions and report to the Treasurer quarterly. Ensure accurate financial reporting and recordkeeping. Assist with budgeting and financial planning. Communicate regularly with the Board and prepare for meetings.
Leadership & Coordination
Oversee organizational administration, including legal and tax filings. Supervise staff, including the Collinswood Coordinator. Provide oversight of programs and delegate daily operations. Maintain communication with the Chair of the Board.
Qualifications: Experience and passion for disability rights and inclusion. Previous work in faith-based settings is preferred. Understanding of the United Methodist Church. Strong communication skills. Experience in nonprofit development and community engagement. Ability to create graphics using tools like Canva or Adobe Suite. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks preferred; willingness to learn MailChimp or similar platforms. Ability to manage multiple projects independently. Own transportation or reliable access to transportation. Apply:
