Overview :
A nationally recognized law firm specializing in the intersection of law and technology is seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Specialist to join its growing Marketing team. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the MCS will help lead and execute a wide range of marketing and branding initiatives to enhance visibility and engagement with clients, industry stakeholders, and media. This individual will play a key role in content creation, campaign management, social media strategy, digital presence, and brand communications.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role ideal for a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills, creativity, and a collaborative mindset-especially one with experience in professional services or law firms.
Key Responsibilities :
Content Development & Brand Communications
Draft bios, press releases, web content, internal announcements, presentations, and marketing collateral.
Coordinate and edit award nominations, survey submissions, and firm-wide communications.
Create and maintain content across all platforms, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
Develop and manage firm-wide social media strategy and content calendar.
Monitor engagement and share insights to boost visibility and optimize strategy.
Maintain and update the firm's website with timely, accurate, and relevant content.
Campaigns & Thought Leadership
Support and coordinate the development of thought leadership content, including white papers, blog posts, and articles.
Manage the firm's publishing efforts via platforms like JD Supra.
Work directly with attorneys and subject matter experts to identify timely topics and messaging.
Events & Promotions
Plan and execute webinars, conferences, and firm-sponsored events.
Promote speaking engagements and seminars across relevant channels.
Provide marketing support and materials for internal and external engagements.
Design & Collateral
Create branded graphics and visual assets for use in digital marketing, social media, campaigns, and events.
Ensure all marketing content reflects brand identity and quality standards.
Marketing Operations & Analytics
Manage CRM and CMS tools for outreach, mailing lists, event invitations, and client engagement tracking.
Maintain awards and rankings calendar; coordinate submissions and post-submission follow-up.
Monitor key marketing metrics and prepare reports to assess campaign performance and areas of growth.
Internal Collaboration
Serve as the main point of contact for timekeepers and practice leaders for marketing support.
Onboard new hires from a marketing perspective, including bios, headshots, and materials.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Required :
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and senior leadership.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools like MS Teams.
Strong knowledge of CRM / CMS platforms and social media tools.
Preferred :
Supervisory or project coordination experience.
Experience using JD Supra, HubSpot, WordPress, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with legal industry awards (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500) and rankings submission processes.
Work Environment :
Remote-first model with one (1) required in-office day weekly for team collaboration.
