The XCTest team is seeking a creative and highly motivated engineer to help design and build next generation test automation tools, infrastructure, and workflows. As a member of the XCTest team, you’ll work with engineers across Apple to design new features that enhance developer workflows and productivity, focusing heavily on details that enhance the user experience.In this role, you will design and build Xcode’s testing frameworks. In pursuit of a seamless developer experience, you’ll be responsible for helping to shape service architectures and APIs, building robust client implementations, and delivering rich user interfaces.Ideal candidates will have a strong passion for software development, testing and automation, a thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals, and an appetite to learn the specifics of our systems and tools. Minimum Qualifications

Professional experience with compiled programming languages such as C/C++, Java/Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C Familiarity with basic operating system concepts (e.g., manipulating files, managing processes, cross-process communication) B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of professional experience with Xcode, Swift and/or Objective-C, building frameworks, tools, or applications Experience with automated testing tools and Continuous Integration platforms Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and build systems software with a customer focus Passionate about details and comfortable with complex, multi-faceted problem spaces Passion for developer-focused tools and API design A successful candidate will be highly motivated, can multi-task, and change priorities quickly as needed Comfort with large and established codebases, including complex debugging scenarios At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
