Traveling Electrical Superintendent

1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants We are actively hiring a Traveling Electrical Superintendent with a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical construction. This role is responsible for managing field operations on job sites across the country, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will be based in Colorado or willing to travel regularly from the region. Responsibilities: Lead electrical construction projects on-site from mobilization to closeout. Supervise crews, schedule subcontractors, and coordinate all field activities. Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and project specifications. Maintain a safe work environment and enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies. Review electrical plans, identify conflicts, and propose solutions in real time. Maintain detailed daily field reports, labor tracking, and progress photos. Assist in managing project schedules, cost control, and procurement timelines. Interface with general contractors, project managers, engineers, and inspectors. Train and mentor apprentices and journeyman electricians to ensure high-quality work. Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of electrical construction experience with at least 3 years in a leadership/superintendent role. Experience managing commercial and industrial electrical projects (e.g., warehouses, manufacturing, retail, hospitals, office buildings, schools, etc.). Valid journeyman or master electrician license (multi-state licensing is a plus). In-depth knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and best construction practices. Proficient in reading blueprints, interpreting electrical diagrams, and using digital project management tools. Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S. OSHA 30 certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Preferred: Based in or near Colorado for ease of travel and team coordination. Experience with ground-up construction and fast-paced schedules. Proficiency with field software like Procore, PlanGrid, or similar. Seniority level
