The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a comprehensive interagency initiative supporting infants and children with developmental delays. It aims to reduce delays among at-risk children, empower families, and provide services regardless of race, ethnicity, or income. Legally mandated under Title II-A, 2552, of Article 25 of the NYS PHL, EIP ensures eligible children receive therapeutic services promptly. The program involves processing referrals, scheduling evaluations, conducting IFSP meetings, and authorizing ongoing services. The Bureau of Early Intervention oversees services for approximately 30,000 children aged birth to 3 years annually, with contracted agencies monitored at the borough level.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO :
Assist in overseeing Regional Office practices to ensure consistency across offices.
Supervise Regional Office staff, including office managers and Early Intervention Official Designees.
Advise the Director on Regional Office performance matters.
Work with staff to ensure high-quality service delivery, policy compliance, and regulatory adherence.
Oversee staff work related to the EI Hub, NYS EI case management, and billing systems, fostering team collaboration.
Assist with staff hiring, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Develop reports and presentations to support program operations.
Create and implement procedures, databases, and performance indicators to monitor efficiency.
PREFERRED SKILLS :
Knowledge of early childhood development (birth to three years).
Experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families, especially those with delays or disabilities.
Familiarity with NYC Early Intervention Program policies, procedures, and service landscape.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in meeting facilitation, mediation, or group consensus building.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience with case management software is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in relevant fields or Juris Doctor with one year of professional experience, or
Baccalaureate degree with three years of related experience, or
Associate degree or 60 credits with five years of experience, or
High school diploma with seven years of experience, or an equivalent combination thereof.
