We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and people-first General Manager to lead our flagship cannabis dispensary in Southampton. The GM will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day retail operations, team performance, customer experience, and compliance. You’ll be the leader our staff looks to and the bridge between corporate goals and daily execution. Leadership & Team Management Oversee and support department managers across budtending, fulfillment, inventory, delivery, marketing, and security Hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff; foster a high-performance culture Implement scheduling, training, and performance improvement plans Lead weekly team meetings and support cross-functional alignment Operations Ensure daily dispensary operations run efficiently and smoothly Monitor sales KPIs, conversion rates, staffing levels, and operational targets Own store-level P&L, cost control, and inventory reconciliation Oversee opening/closing procedures and cash management Customer Experience Set the tone for exceptional service in compliance with NYS cannabis regulations Monitor customer feedback and drive initiatives to improve loyalty and satisfaction Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and empathy Compliance & Safety Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal cannabis laws Ensure all required documentation, tracking, and reporting are up to date Work closely with inventory and security teams to safeguard product and people Strategic Execution Partner with marketing and promotions teams to drive foot traffic and revenue Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency Report regularly to ownership on KPIs, trends, staffing, and market conditions Qualifications 5+ years of experience in multi-department retail management (e.g., Whole Foods, Sephora, Apple, Target) Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing 20+ staff Proven ability to hit revenue and operational targets in a retail environment Cannabis retail experience strongly preferred, but not required Deep understanding of inventory management, compliance, and customer service Tech-savvy with familiarity in POS, scheduling, and reporting tools Must meet all legal requirements to work in a licensed cannabis business in NY Benefits Competitive salary $80,000-120,000 OTE in performance-based bonus Employee discounts on cannabis products Paid time off Opportunity to lead in a growing industry and make a community impact
