Senior Elevator Systems Technical Advisor medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) United States, D.C., Washington Apply Job Type Full-time Description Golden Wolf, LLC is seeking a Senior Elevator Systems Technical Advisor to support the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) elevator operations within the House Office Buildings (HOB) Jurisdiction. This position is ideally suited for a highly experienced elevator mechanic (30+ years) who brings a deep understanding of complex elevator systems and significant hands-on work-ideally including experience supporting or working with AOC facilities. This role does not require a formal engineering degree but depends on proven technical expertise in elevator system maintenance, modernization, quality assurance, and team mentorship. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Advisory & Repair Project Support * Provide expert consultation to GoldenWolf and AOC leadership on the planning and execution of elevator modernization and major repairs. * Assess aging infrastructure and recommend repair/replacement priorities based on lifecycle data and operational reliability. Quality Assurance Oversight * Monitor contractor performance (e.g., Quality Elevator, ELCON) to validate adherence to ASME A17.1, OEM specifications, and AOC contractual requirements. * Perform periodic site inspections and generate monthly Quality Assurance (QA) reports, highlighting risks and corrective actions. * Support development of in-house AOC maintenance teams by sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices. * Provide shift-wide coaching on emergency response, diagnostics, and safety-focused repair procedures. Preventive Maintenance & Standards Compliance * Review preventive maintenance protocols developed by third-party contractors (e.g., Procon) for technical accuracy and code compliance. * Recommend improvements to inspection checklists, documentation requirements, and task sequencing. Preferred: * Prior experience directly supporting federal, military, or large-scale institutional facilities. * QEI (Qualified Elevator Inspector) certification or other industry credentials (preferred but not required). * Leadership or mentorship experience involving junior mechanics or multi-trade teams.
