The Structural Field Engineer conducts field inspections and provides engineering support for WMATA’s track and structural systems, including aerial structures, tunnels, bridges, retaining walls, and stations. The role ensures safety, reliability, and compliance of structural assets with standards, WMATA protocols, and regulations. The engineer performs detailed assessments, resolves issues, and monitors structures in the field.
Responsibilities
Perform field inspections of structural assets.
Document findings and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams.
Support emergency response and repair planning.
Ensure adherence to WMATA safety protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
7+ years of field inspection experience.
PE license preferred.
Familiarity with transit infrastructure and inspection technologies.
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
