Job Summary: Reinventing Geospatial (RGi) is a leading expert in geospatial solutions for Defense, Intelligence, and Federal clients. As a Python Developer, you will develop custom code and scripts for geospatial analysis, automate geoprocessing of large datasets, and provide support and documentation for users to maintain developed products. Responsibilities: • Developing custom code, scripts, modules, macro procedures, libraries, and dynamically linked libraries for geospatial analysis functions using Python, as well as using Python to augment and analyze data. • Providing ad hoc support for Python and other coding languages to automate geoprocessing of large datasets in response to analyst needs, and instructing/assisting analysts in writing custom code and scripts. • Leveraging computing resources to process very large geospatial datasets improving data management through deduplication and reduction, streamlining geospatial processing, and scaling solutions from regional to global. • Educating and advising the Sponsor on current and emerging geospatial technologies and products. • Providing metadata, commented code, user manuals, system requirements, system security plans, and other documentation to ensure future users can learn, implement, and maintain developed products or methodologies. Qualifications: Required: • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI and FS Polygraph • US Citizenship Required • Python development including code, scripts, modules, libraries, and DLLs for geospatial analysis • Programming support including Python and other languages for automation and data processing • Geoprocessing such as automate large dataset workflows; deduplication, reduction, streamlining • Complex analysis experience that includes quantitative, research, and graphical representation skills • Systems knowledge of geospatial systems and supporting technologies • Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new tools • The ability to collaborate across government and industry Preferred: • Strong conceptual, quantitative, organizational, research, writing, verbal communication, and graphical representation skills. • Sound judgment, creative problem-solving, and the ability to work independently. • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills for collaborating with diverse individuals and organizations at all levels • Ability to perform complex analyses and clearly communicate results through accurate, concise writing and descriptive/graphical representation. • Technical understanding of systems supporting relevant functional areas. • Flexibility to assist with ad hoc tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
