The Associate Product Manager – Omnipod 5 will help drive the development and lifecycle management of the Omnipod Pod Platform. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of hardware engineering, customer experience, and operational excellence, supporting the full lifecycle of the Pod – from design and development, production, launch, post-market monitoring and continuous improvement. The Associate Product Manager – Omnipod 5 will help drive the development and lifecycle management of the Omnipod Pod Platform. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of hardware engineering, customer experience, and operational excellence, supporting the full lifecycle of the Pod – from design and development, production, launch, post-market monitoring and continuous improvement.
You will collaborate with customer experience, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and user experience design teams to ensure our hardware solutions are not only cutting-edge but also scalable, reliable, and aligned with user needs. Responsibilities
Understand user journey and needs, market dynamics, and innovation opportunities for Insulet to transform the way diabetes is managed Support end-to-end product lifecycle activities - from early discovery and requirements definition through development, launch, post-market monitoring, and continuous improvement Present business cases that drive prioritization and decision-making Partner closely with hardware engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure product requirements are feasible, scalable, and aligned with user needs. Monitor and triage product performance issues – such as bugs and complaints – and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and prioritize corrective actions. Support sustaining engineering efforts by surfacing user insights and product data that inform opportunities for cost reduction, reliability improvements, and design enhancements. Collaborate with Agile engineering teams on software product development Collaborate with product marketing to shape go-to-market strategy Build trust and confidently interface with all functions and levels in the organization: executive leadership, engineering, UX, data science, program, marketing, regulatory, privacy, cybersecurity, operations, and medical affairs teams Evangelize best practices for product management, design, and engineering at Insulet

Understanding of hardware product development processes, including design controls, verification/validation, and manufacturing transfer. Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Design, Marketing, or Business. 5-8 years of experience in relevant medical device field or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience Experience with software as medical device product management, with deep knowledge of regulatory, data privacy, security, & quality requirements globally Experience developing and commercializing connected products/line extensions Familiar with Software Development technologies. Experience in Medical Device development and/or other highly regulated products. Passion to continuously improve processes and practices. Diabetes experience or knowledge a plus
NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least three (3) days per week.
Additional Information
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $112,875.00 - $169,312.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
