In this highly visible role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Apple Products and leave a footprint for years to come! As a quality engineer, you will enable the mass creation of innovative products as a partner in developing Apple's renowned designs. Partner with tooling and functional teams to evaluate design and processes during the concept phase. Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods to meet ambitious specifications at large production scales. Create and implement advanced quality inspection tools to assess cosmetic and dimensional characteristics of parts. Analyze data to determine appropriate process and part specifications. Lead activities to balance exceptional quality with scalable yields. Collaborate with internal and external teams to define quality expectations and ensure proper assurance techniques are used. Coordinate and prioritize all Quality Engineering functions across multiple programs. Expand team capabilities and recruit new engineers. Establish audit procedures for programs and suppliers to ensure compliance with Apple quality standards. Evaluate and communicate process yields. Drive corrective actions with team members and suppliers. Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, supplier management, and quality control (including statistical analysis, GD&T, metrology, design of experiments, etc.). Willingness to travel internationally to supplier sites (~30%). BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing/Systems, Chemical Engineering, or related fields). Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing process quality plans, conducting supplier quality audits, and leading corrective actions and failure analysis. Knowledge of mechanical quality, reliability concepts, and manufacturing operations. Experience with measurement systems development and evaluation. Project management skills and proficiency in problem-solving tools like design of experiments, root cause analysis, and statistical analysis. Experience with mechanical enclosures, castings, plastics, injection molding, stamping, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume automotive manufacturing. International experience, especially in Asia, is a plus. Apple offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $128,400 to $193,800, depending on skills and experience.
