Senior Business Systems Analyst Data Transformation & EDI Initiatives Role The Data & Artificial Intelligence (DAI) practice at Technology Partners is a fast-growing consulting group focused on enabling data-driven transformation through modern cloud platforms, AI-powered automation, and strategic business alignment. Were seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a highly visible initiative focused on transforming how enterprise organizations ingest, process, and leverage complex data from external sourcesparticularly EDI files and other semi-structured datasets. This is a deeply analytical and highly collaborative role. Youll lead discovery across legacy systems and modern data platforms, document nuanced business logic across multiple data providers, and translate requirements into actionable inputs for engineering and data teams. Your efforts will directly support the creation of raw, cleansed, and curated data layers, enabling timely decision-making and executive insights across the business. Skills & Experience Needed 5+ years of experience as a business analyst or data analyst working on large-scale data transformation or platform modernization initiatives Strong experience documenting complex business rules, data transformations, and user requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences Familiarity with EDI file structures and semi-structured data formats; understanding of challenges related to parsing, validating, and mapping external datasets Demonstrated ability to work with data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Microsoft Fabric Knowledge of schema-on-read patterns, raw data zone access, and data quality validation workflows Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills must be comfortable leading conversations across technical, business, and executive audiences Self-starter with the ability to drive work forward independently, without needing daily oversight Proven experience operating in deadline-driven environments, managing multiple competing priorities with urgency and focus Skilled in supporting organizational change management, including documentation and cross-functional rollout efforts Bonus Experience Exposure to Snowpark, OneLake, or Azure Event Grid Background in claims data, third-party integrations, or regulated data pipelines Responsibilities Investigate and document external data source structures and ingestion workflows Translate complex business logic and transformation requirements into functional specifications Define metadata, validation rules, and data quality checks for ingestion and processing Map executive user workflows and self-service analytics needs Collaborate with engineers and architects to align technical solutions with business goals Validate data transformation logic across raw, cleansed, and curated layers Lead stakeholder communications and requirement refinement efforts Deliver thorough documentation and support change enablement efforts Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery $70 $85 per hour (Approx. $145K $177K annualized equivalent for this full-time W2 engagement) - Hybrid work environment candidate must reside in the Greater St. Louis area - Opportunity to lead enterprise-scale data transformation efforts - Close collaboration with engineering, product, and executive teams Seniority level
