Job Title: School Associate Location: Bethany Learning Academy Reports To: Daycare Director Job Overview: The After School Associate is a part-time position ideal for high school students interested in gaining experience in a supportive, educational environment. The role involves assisting with after-school activities, helping younger students with their homework, and ensuring a safe and positive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Student Supervision: Assist with supervising students during after-school activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
Help enforce school rules and guidelines to maintain a positive environment.
Homework Assistance: Offer help to younger students with their homework, guiding them through their assignments.
Encourage good study habits and a positive attitude towards learning.
Activity Support: Help organize and participate in fun, educational, and recreational activities, such as games, arts and crafts, and sports.
Assist with setting up and cleaning up materials and equipment for daily activities.
Communication: Communicate effectively with students and staff, working as part of a team to support the after-school program.
Provide updates to the Program Director or School Coordinator as needed.
Environment Management: Help keep the after-school space tidy and organized.
Ensure that materials and supplies are ready for each activity.
Student Support: Be a positive role model for younger students, helping to create an inclusive and respectful environment.
Address any minor behavioral issues with patience, under the guidance of senior staff.
Safety Awareness: Follow all safety rules and guidelines to keep students safe.
Report any safety concerns to the Program Director or School Coordinator.
Qualifications: Must be a high school student (preferably in junior or senior year).
Interest in working with younger children.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsible, dependable, and positive attitude.
Ability to balance this role with school responsibilities.
Work Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, typically from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM or as needed.
