The Sr. Sales & Product Manager will lead the effort to build SK Tools’ presence across brick-and-mortar retail channels, focusing on automotive stores, national big box retailers, club stores, and specialty hardware accounts. This role requires a proven retail sales leader with deep knowledge of the mechanics tool category and established relationships with key retail buyers. This role will also collaborate cross-functionally with the GreatStar product development and marketing teams to ensure SK’s retail line evolves to meet the demands of today’s technician and consumer. This is a strategic and executional role that will help reposition SK Tools as a premium yet competitive brand and expand its visibility and placement across North America. The role involves managing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing creative strategies for growth and product placement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive SK Tools’ placement and expansion into retail accounts, including automotive retail chains, big box stores, club channels, and independent hardware retailers. Establish and grow relationships with key customer contacts (buyers, merchandisers, and category managers) to secure shelf space and merchandising opportunities. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, pricing plans, and promotional programs to accelerate SK Tools’ retail growth. Lead project management for all major line reviews and collaborate with marketing to create compelling retail presentations, sell-in decks, and point-of-purchase materials. Provide actionable market and customer feedback to the GreatStar product development team to shape SK’s retail-focused product roadmap. Analyze sales data, category trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities, threats, and new product needs. Build annual business plans with key accounts and ensure alignment with internal operational and inventory planning teams. Travel regularly to meet with customers, conduct store walks, attend industry events, and support trade shows or retail launches. Lead profitability through item mix and pricing including identification of product and promotion opportunities Develop top-to-top relationships with customers while identifying sales agents to drive profitable performance Negotiate customer contracts for pricing and program support Develop and communicate key account growth strategies Work with finance to evaluate customer profitability through effective P&L analysis Guide regular SKU efficiency reviews and supervise inventory levels using customer data participating in S&OP meetings as required EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail sales that includes some experience with hand tools, mechanics tools, or automotive aftermarket categories. Proven track record of launching or expanding a tool brand within key retail channels (e.g., AutoZone, O’Reilly, NAPA, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Costco, Walmart, etc.). Deep understanding of retail account structures, category management, planogramming, promotional calendars, and retailer margin requirements. Existing relationships with relevant retail decision-makers are strongly preferred. Ability to interpret POS and syndicated data to craft fact-based selling stories. Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, operations, etc.). Highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action. Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work 100% remotely anywhere in the US and travel 40% on average. A valid driver's license is required. Ability to lift moderate weight up to 50lbs and use tools as needed for product demonstration or set presentation Proficient in MS Office with demonstrated capabilities in PowerPoint and Excel EDUCATION: BS degree and/or equivalent outside retail sales leadership experience Seniority level
