Please ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely. Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in Washington, D.C.
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) provides leadership for research, training, and education programs to prevent and treat heart, lung, and blood diseases, aiming to improve public health worldwide. The Institute collaborates with various organizations, including academic institutions, industry, government agencies, and patient groups.
This position is primarily remote, but may require occasional on-site attendance in the DMV area. Candidates must be local to the DMV area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support agenda development, document meetings, and track action items.
Identify, track, and report risks and mitigation measures.
Coordinate program meetings and assist with development of program materials.
Develop dissemination strategies for key work products.
Manage shared document repositories and support government financial tracking.
Assist with cross-functional work across NHLBI and NIH Work Groups.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science, public health, business, or project management.
At least 3 years of experience in portfolio, program, or project management support, preferably in biomedical or health-related organizations.
Understanding of project management principles and strong organizational skills.
Experience with project management processes, tools, and templates.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with NIH or HHS support is highly desirable.
Federal agency program management experience preferred.
Experience with OTA is a plus.
Other Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Able to complete NIH Background Investigation.
Local to the DMV area and willing to go onsite as needed.
The pay range is $65,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
