Staff Accountant
to join its collaborative accounting team. This firm offers a unique blend of Accounting, Real Estate, and Risk Management services, and prides itself on fostering a supportive culture focused on professional development, community contribution, and long-term career growth. Key Responsibilities The Staff Accountant will play a key role in delivering a variety of accounting services, including income tax preparation, small business support, and project-based work. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career accounting professional who values teamwork, precision, and the chance to work across multiple areas of the business. Tax Preparation Support senior accountants in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and small businesses Research and resolve tax-related inquiries Review and respond to client tax notices, including communication with the IRS and local tax authorities Assist clients in navigating audits from state or federal agencies Small Business Accounting Services Gain working knowledge of small business offerings including payroll processing, sales tax reporting, bookkeeping, and entity formation Collaborate with payroll and bookkeeping teams to deliver comprehensive, accurate, and timely accounting services Assist senior staff with other accounting tasks related to small business clients General Accounting Support Adhere to internal processes and participate in cross-functional team projects Mentor interns and junior accountants to support team development and succession planning Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); Master’s in Business (preferred) At least 1 year of U.S. public accounting experience CPA license preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with strong time management and organizational abilities Client-focused mindset with a passion for relationship building Professional, ethical, and adaptable in a multicultural work environment Year-end bonus and profit-sharing opportunities 401(k) plan with employer matching Paid time off This role offers the chance to work alongside a driven group of professionals in a highly supportive environment where your contributions directly impact the growth of both the team and the clients served.
