$35.00 - $41.00 / hour Description NICOLEHOLLIS, an award-winning, large-size Interior Design firm, seeks a talented and motivated Design Assistant to support our Design Team. The Design Assistant contributes to the success of NICOLEHOLLIS by assisting with general office and design duties, drafting, sourcing, coordinating, and managing the library of images and samples. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience, focusing on high-end interior design. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop interior and furniture designs using knowledge of interior design principles and human behavior; convey conceptual, functional, lifecycle, environmental, and safety requirements. Assist the Design Team in developing space plans, design concepts, sketches, presentations, moodboards, 3D models, visualizations, rendered floorplans and elevations, specifications (finishes, interior architecture, FF&E), and custom furniture. Prepare specifications and schedules for furniture, lighting, finishes, art, and accessories. Facilitate pricing, procurement, and installation of furniture. Produce documents such as floor plans, elevations, details, and studies to illustrate layouts, designs, materials, and finishes, adhering to regulations. Update schedules, budgets, meeting agendas, notes, purchase orders, specifications, and manage project files and resources. Coordinate with consultants, vendors, manufacturers, fabricators, installers, and contractors. Assist in maintaining the materials library, organizing samples, updating labels, and catalogs. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Run errands to showrooms and liaise with vendors. Work collaboratively with designers and interns, demonstrating strong communication skills. REQUIREMENTS & CORE COMPETENCIES Requirements: Degree in Interior Design. 1-2 years of interior design experience. Knowledge of FF&E scopes in residential and hospitality projects. Excellent presentation skills, including space planning and drawing. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, MS Office, SketchUp or similar software. Strong understanding of construction drawings, detailing, materials, fabrication, finishes, codes. Experience in selecting and specifying furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finishes. Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members. Core Competencies: Task focus: Deliver exceptional service to clients and vendors.
