Job Summary : We are building out a Marketplace Health and Pricing teams and establishing a Data Science practice to leverage advanced analytics. We seek a Data Scientist to help build and scale our data science and software engineering capabilities, initially focusing on matching and pricing opportunities. As part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their needs and design solutions across multiple industries. The ideal candidate will have experience in structured problem solving, model building and tuning, deploying analytics products, data collection & cleansing, and communicating insights to diverse audiences. Our stack is primarily cloud-native on AWS. What You'll Do : Partner with stakeholders to translate business problems into data science solutions. Develop production-level code for analytics products. Support data science solutions throughout the product lifecycle, including data wrangling, analysis, modeling, prototyping, validation, and deployment. Utilize large and unstructured data to derive insights. Apply techniques such as predictive modeling, machine learning, time series analysis, simulation, and optimization. Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, providing actionable recommendations. Stay updated on emerging data science techniques and technologies for AI/ML applications. What You Need : Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, or related field; 3 years of related experience can substitute for a degree. 8+ years of experience in data science or software engineering, including deploying models and writing production code. Experience with statistical and modeling techniques like hypothesis testing, supervised learning, forecasting, clustering, and optimization. Proficiency in Python and SQL, including building Python packages. Ability to interpret business requirements and develop analytical solutions. Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts. Experience with version control platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps). Experience with large-scale data wrangling using databases or Spark. Knowledge of software engineering best practices and full software development lifecycle. Experience with Docker, APIs, and web frameworks. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and meet in-person team needs.
