Wireless System Integration and Test Engineer

You will be part of a dynamic team and have the opportunity to develop products that will delight millions of Apple customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the bringup and integration of PHY/Radio components and executing characterization on internal silicon solutions from chip development to product shipping. Description

This individual contributor role involves system integration and characterization of advanced wireless SoC products. You will work with first silicon to bring up, tune, and debug PHY and radio system performance. Your understanding of communication theory and radio calibration algorithms will be key to optimizing performance and troubleshooting silicon issues. You will utilize test equipment to identify issues and leverage your software skills to configure and probe chips. As the owner of silicon performance, you will help ensure Apple products exceed expectations. Minimum Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field + 3 years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, LTE/WCDMA/GSM, or 802.11ad/ay. Understanding of communication theory and key metrics like EVM and sensitivity. Experience with radio calibration algorithms (e.g., Power Control, IQ imbalance, LO Leakage, TSSI). Experience with system bring-up, integration, characterization, and debugging of wireless silicon in a lab environment. Familiarity with wireless/RF test equipment such as signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers. Experience developing test automation, including drivers, scripts, databases, and reporting tools. Experience with automation infrastructure development and tools like GIT, CI, and reporting systems. Advanced degrees (MS or Ph.D.) in Electrical or Computer Engineering are preferred. At Apple, compensation includes base pay within a range, with opportunities for growth. The pay range for this role is $139,500 to $258,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
