Job Description: Regional Logistician Location Type: Remote Position Overview

The Regional Logistician is responsible for overseeing logistics operations and personnel across a defined geographic region. This position ensures consistent execution of supply chain activities including property accountability, inventory management, transport coordination, and material distribution in support of operational requirements. The Regional Logistician serves as the primary liaison between local site logisticians, program management, and centralized supply chain offices to ensure regional logistics goals are achieved efficiently and in compliance with applicable policies.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Oversight

Report to the Regional Operations Manager, provide daily status, insight, and advice to minimize potential impact to operations due to Logistics Delay Time (LDT)

Provide leadership and oversight to Material Control Associates (MCAs), Material Control Coordinators (MCC), and Field Operations personnel performing logistics transactions across multiple field sites within the assigned region

Monitor execution of inventory, shipping/receiving, material requests, and property transactions

Conduct regional site visits and assessments to ensure supply posture and accountability standards are met

Investigate and report property losses and significant inventory adjustments, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement steps for correction as identified in the Internal Corrective Action Plan (iCAP)

Ensure alignment with overall program logistics strategy and objectives

Supply Chain Coordination

Coordinate inter-site material transfers and equipment movement within the region

Work with depot and warehouse leads to ensure timely fulfillment of site requirements

Serve as escalation point for regional logistics issues and special requests

Property Management & Compliance

Ensure accurate accountability and documentation of Government-Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor-Acquired Property (CAP)

Support internal and external audits, inventory reconciliations, and corrective action tracking

Enforce adherence to FAR 52.245-1, company property procedures, and contract-specific guidelines

Reporting & Analysis

Track and report on material status, property movements, and inventory levels across the region

Support demand analysis and forecasting to ensure sufficient material availability at forward locations

Provide input to program metrics and performance indicators related to logistics

Process Improvement & Training

Identify opportunities to streamline logistics workflows and improve accuracy and responsiveness

Train and mentor site logisticians on logistics systems, reporting tools, and best practices

Support implementation of standardized logistics processes across supported sites

Required Qualifications

5+ years of logistics or supply chain experience with increasing responsibility

Experience in a regional, multi-site logistics role

Strong knowledge of property accountability standards and government regulations

Familiarity with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8) or other logistics/ERP systems

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Ability to travel regularly to supported field locations

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or a related field

Experience in government contracting or military logistics environments

Knowledge of ARAS, SAP, and/or Power BI

Familiarity with DMSMS, FRACAS, and sustainment planning

Other Requirements:

Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) through the National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) process
