Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of San Mateo County offers a unique opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of children and youth within the foster care and juvenile justice systems. Position Overview:
As the Sr. Program Manager for Initiatives, Training, and Recruitment, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role at CASA, reporting directly to the Program Director and collaborating with a passionate, mission-driven team. You will have the opportunity to innovate and implement impactful programs, guiding your team in shaping the future of recruitment and training for volunteers who create life-changing outcomes for youth.

Reports to:
Program Director
Status:
Full-time, exempt; 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend work required
Location:
Redwood Shores, California/ Hybrid, reporting to office a minimum of two days a week
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead organization initiatives, special projects and events. Develop project timelines, monitor and manage budgets, keep project/initiative on tasks, and report on progress. Supervise full-time recruitment and training staff, as well as additional staff working on special projects and initiatives. Manage all recruitment and training activities for the organization, including overseeing evaluation, establishing goals, and tracking progress towards goals Ensure robust evaluation and data collection for assigned programs and report outcomes and data to funders and internal stakeholders in a timely manner. Serve as a member of the organization’s leadership team, regularly contributing strategic ideas, proposing new initiatives, and reporting on outcomes and goals. Conduct training for prospective CASA volunteers. Participation will include some evening and weekend work. Ensure CASA volunteer and child records are accurate and up to date by collecting and verifying data. Represent CASA to maintain relationships and build partnerships with professional and community partners, including but not limited to Department of Children and Family services, attorneys, the court and other service providers. Own up to 2 specialty areas, including but not limited to: Identify and develop resources to educate and support volunteers in the specialty area. Identify speakers for and/or lead trainings in subjects relevant to specialty. Participate in and help facilitate continuing education meetings, volunteer orientation and recruitment efforts, as needed. Participate in and present at conferences and committee meetings, as needed. Attend and present at CASA of San Mateo County board meetings, as needed. Participate in Ad-hoc projects as requested Attend CASA events and collaboration in the planning of them as needed. Manage and provide direct oversight to actively assigned and available CASA volunteers and/or provide coverage for volunteer support as needed.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary commensurate with experience with STARTING range at $85K-88K Starting with 160 hours of PTO annually (and increasing with tenure) and 14 paid holidays and organizational closure from Christmas Eve to New Years Day Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Retirement plan with up to 6% employer match Annual wellness stipend
