Program Analyst - WHA/PPC
The Program Analyst will support good governance, citizen security, regional issue analysis, and combating antisemitism portfolios, supporting the government lead, the Deputy Director, and the Director of WHA/PPC. The candidate's work is dedicated to providing programmatic, research, and administrative support for country-specific activities, cross-border programs, and region-wide initiatives.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Program Analyst : $122,322.21 Annual Pay is commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change without notice. Program Analyst Responsibilities Include: Expertise & Policy Development:
Provide subject matter expertise in WHA on good governance, justice sector issues, and citizen security policies, including facilitating bilateral and multilateral engagement about specific thematic and regional goals. Documentation Support:
Provide the government lead with support and background documents such as briefings, reports, agendas, invitations, remarks, read-outs, and meeting notes; draft and obtain clearances on background papers, reports, and briefings for senior Bureau leaders; draft reports to meet routine, ad hoc, and Congressional requirements. Research & Analysis:
Research, collect, and analyze data, and report on findings; communicate conclusions and recommendations through PowerPoint presentations, briefings, and written reports to support data-driven decision-making. Logistical Support:
Participate in committees and meetings, including interagency committees, and provide logistical support for events, including coordination of volunteers, venues, remarks, activities, and timelines. Event Coordination:
Develop, organize, and facilitate Bureau participation in Department of State events related to good governance, citizen security, justice sector, and countering antisemitism. Communication Strategy:
Collaborate with Department and interagency colleagues, respond to inquiries, compile government input, and recommend responses to complex inquiries. Portfolio Support:
Support external affairs, anti-corruption, countering malign influences, trafficking in persons, and cybersecurity portfolios; assist in overseeing submission of mandated reports. Monitoring & Assessment:
Monitor political, economic, and security developments; provide assessments and analyses; contribute to coordinated U.S. government policy recommendations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in International Studies, International Affairs, or related; Master's preferred. Experience: Minimum of four years in international affairs; Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in research, analysis, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, web development, and Microsoft Office. Project Management: Experience in developing and interpreting project metrics, managing multiple tasks, and coordinating across locations. Communication Skills: Excellent English verbal and written skills, with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Work Style: Ability to work independently, prioritize, and coordinate tasks. Language: Proficiency in reading and speaking Portuguese or Spanish. Other Requirements: Must pass pre-employment screening, US Citizenship, active Secret clearance.
