Head of Social Media & Events Marketing

Equity + Salary + Remote + National Travel

We're seeking a high-energy, high-visibility marketing leader to own our social media presence, national event activations, and partner-facing brand representation for a new ppickleball-relatedapp.

**This is a unique equity + salary opportunity to join a category-redefining sports tech startup at an early stage.**

**Your Role** You will lead our brand growth across social channels, local, regional, and national pickleball events, and press - becoming the public face of our platform at tournaments, partner activations, and media opportunities. You'll execute the day-to-day marketing plan while collaborating directly with the founders on high-level strategy.

**What You'll Do** - Social Media & Content: - Set up, manage, and grow brands' presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and emerging channels. - Create, post, and optimize short-form video, graphics, and live content. - Engage daily with the pickleball community online. - Cultivate and work with a growing legion of brand ambassadors to facilitate UCG content creation

- Press & Public Relations: - Draft and distribute press releases for major launches, partnerships, and events. - Serve as an on-camera/on-mic representative at Pickleball events, tradeshows, and podcasts. - Build media relationships within sports, tech, and lifestyle publications.

- Events & Activations: - Represent Brand on-site at tournaments, conferences, and partner activations nationwide. - Manage live event marketing - signage, promotional materials, giveaways, player engagement. - Coordinate with partners, Tournament directors, and ambassadors for joint activations.

- Partnership & Sponsor Support: - Support partner visibility through co-branded campaigns, activations, and in-app promotions. - Ensure brand has a strong, sociable professional presence in all partner-facing opportunities.

- Paid Media: - Set up, manage, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and TikTok Ads. - Track ROI and adjust targeting/creative to drive app downloads and engagement.

What You Bring - 3+ years in marketing, social media management, or event activation - sports industry and/or pickleball experience strongly preferred. - Strong content creation skills (video + graphic), with an eye for engaging short-form storytelling. - Confident public speaker and comfortable as an on-camera representative. - Hands-on experience with paid digital advertising. - Excellent copywriting skills for both social and press. - Startup mindset - resourceful, adaptive, and ready to wear multiple hats.

Compensation & Structure - Salary: $40,000-$50,000 annually (full-time) - Equity: 2.5% (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff) - in addition to salary - Travel: Quarterly national travel for events/activations (expenses covered) - Reports directly to the founders; budget approvals through the founder - Remote Position / HQ: Boulder, CO
