The Lead System Architect shall possess extensive experience in the design, installation, integration, testing, and acceptance of HPC systems, as well as operations, maintenance, and upgrades of existing HPC systems. The architect is responsible for end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of HPC systems to meet computational requirements. This position requires periodic travel, some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may require after-hours responses to emergencies and scheduled on-call duties. Required Qualifications
Minimum of five years’ experience in Linux systems administration Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline with 2+ years of systems engineering, or 5 years’ experience in HPC architecture Hands-on experience with HPC architecture including storage, file systems, InfiniBand, security, authentication, and compute architecture Knowledge of HPC hardware architectures including processors, memory, network fabrics, and interconnects US Citizenship is required Public Trust clearance required (can be obtained after hire) Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with HPC software stack components like compilers, runtime systems, job schedulers, and libraries Experience with storage administration, RAID configurations, and cluster management tools (e.g., LSF, Slurm, PBS) Experience with distributed file systems like Lustre, Ceph, GPFS Additional Details
