HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to become the Facility Medical Director at our HCA Florida Lake City Hospital in Lake City, FL. Lake City is located about 60 miles from Jacksonville and 40 miles from Gainesville. This program has recently transitioned to the HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services hospital employed model. Anesthesiology The Facility Medical Director will collaborate with the Operations team and Hospital Administration to promote a respectful work environment, lead by example, and provide excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and relationship building, representing the Anesthesia department as a true partner. Responsibilities include ensuring high standards of healthcare delivery, employee satisfaction, retention, and monitoring quality metrics. Previous leadership experience is required. Qualified Candidates / Opportunity Highlights: Model includes 5 General Anesthesiologists doing solo cases Coverage of 3 ORs and 2 NORAs (Endo and Cysto), with an annual surgical volume of 2400; 2 additional ORs opening Summer 2025 Case mix includes General, Orthopedic, GI/Endo, GYN, and some robotics No Trauma, No OB, No Cardiac cases Must be proficient in Blocks Scheduled 40 hours/week, 7 am - 3 pm, with weekday beeper call 1:5; post-call day off Incentives and Benefits: W-2 employed position with HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services Increased compensation with annual Leadership stipend $50K Start Bonus and relocation assistance Additional pay for extra call shifts 10 weeks Paid Time Off plus post-call day off $5K CME annually 401K with company match Malpractice insurance covered 100% 10% Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) discount Full health and wellness benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, disability, FSA, life insurance, and more About Lake City Hospital: Community hospital with 115 beds Joint Commission accredited Recipient of the 2024 Patient Safety Excellence Award by Healthgrades for the seventh consecutive year “Best of the Best Hospital” award from Lake City Reporter for 20 years Accredited Chest Pain Center & Primary Stroke Center Advanced procedural capabilities and surgical robotics Community:
