Position Description
The Information Security Analyst will operate security controls and monitor Applied's computer networks for security issues, support in the installation of security software, report any security issues or breaches found, and participate in investigations. The Information Security Analyst may also participate in information security policy composition, development and maintenance, including: recommending updates to security policy education, training and awareness activities, and recommending activities that lead to compliance with security laws, policies, and regulations. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities: Plan, implement, operate, upgrade and/or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure and respond to computer security events. Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings to detect or assess security events. Evaluate information to determine standards compliance. Serve as a technical resource for cybersecurity development and implementation of projects. Support cybersecurity standards and organizational policies. Stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT and information security trends. Support Incident Response activities. Support internal and external auditing activities. Support compliance assessments on new and existing systems, processes, technology.

The following skills and attributes are preferred: Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and/or Linux endpoint architecture and security features.Some experience with security incident investigation and remediation.Familiarity with malware behaviors and attack techniques.
