Senior Infrastructure Linux & DevOps Engineer

Matrix Precise . The Sr. Infra Linux Engineer’s primary function will be to advance the infrastructure team from a traditional infrastructure methodology to an infrastructure as code approach. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding all aspects of RHEL servers and the orchestration platform for containers using Kubernetes. Solid understanding of application pipelines and troubleshooting, integrating CI/CD with Kubernetes, and providing automated build and configuration processes for hardware-agnostic BareMetal are essential. The role also requires participation in an on-call rotation when necessary. Essential Responsibilities:
Build automation across Windows/Linux OS platforms, storage, and databases Design, roadmap, and collaborate with development teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines Design and build reliable, fault-tolerant private cloud infrastructure following industry best practices Leverage cloud technologies on-premise and in Azure Drive change towards infrastructure as code across multiple teams and technologies Utilize automation to reduce operational workload Implement automated infrastructure configuration management using tools like Ansible Incorporate security best practices within CI/CD pipelines Identify and troubleshoot performance issues Support core infrastructure services, including transitioning between traditional infrastructure components Minimum Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience leading in large containerized environments using Kubernetes At least 4 years working on Linux as a power user or administrator, specifically RedHat or equivalent At least 3 years working with Windows Servers in support or administration roles At least 2 years managing container workloads on Kubernetes, on-premise or in the cloud Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 8 years in IT or operations, or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications:
3 years documenting system administration procedures 3 years working with cloud-native applications like Grafana, Prometheus, MongoDB, Postgres 2 years automating infrastructure with Ansible 2 years managing ingress in Kubernetes with NGINX, Istio, and Calico 2 years building and maintaining Docker images Additional experience with ServiceNow for incident and request management is preferred.
