Lucky Charm Family Farm is hiring a Farm Consultant to join our team on a 4-6 month term in Barrow County, GA. In this role you will work closely with the owner and leadership team in advancing our farm operations, enhancing efficiency, managing agricultural projects, and elevating our farm s brand. This is a hands-on, strategic consulting position ideal for a dynamic individual passionate about sustainable agriculture, farm equipment management, and strategic farm development.

We offer up to $3,000 per month based on experience, employer-sponsored training, flexible work hours with potential for role expansion based on performance and farm needs.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with Owner and Farm Operations Manager to execute strategic farm plans across crop management, livestock care, and daily agriculture operations.
- Assist with the implementation of day-to-day farm projects including planting, harvesting, and livestock support.
- Develop and manage annual budgets in alignment with strategic agricultural and operational goals.
- Ensure farm-wide compliance with USDA and other relevant agricultural and safety regulations.
- Support efforts to secure federal, state, and local funding for farm programs and operations.
- Train staff in sustainable and regenerative farming practices and proper farm equipment usage.
- Oversee routine maintenance and repair of farm structures and agriculture machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and 4x4 vehicles.
- Maintain accurate and organized records (e.g., herd books, crop yields, processing logs).
- Build partnerships with local distributors, CSA programs, and community groups to promote our farm brand.
- Working a variation of hours per week (between 35-40 hours) depending on projects and season.
- Occasionally assist with volunteer coordination, community events, and farm tours.
- Participate in other farm-related initiatives and special projects as needed.
This job is for you if you have:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in strategic farm management, livestock handling, crop production, and brand development within the agriculture industry.
- Intermediate knowledge of USDA regulations, herd health, food safety standards, cut sheets, regenerative practices, and farm compliance.
- Strong experience with income-driven agriculture or farm-based business consulting.
- Proficiency with the operation and care of farm equipment such as tractors, forklifts, hitches, 4x4s.
- Familiarity with agricultural funding sources, nonprofit impact strategies, and grant writing.
- Certifications in food safety, CPR/First Aid, or agricultural best practices are a plus (or willingness to complete within 60-120 days).
- Commitment to a minimum of 6 months in the role.
- Must provide W-9 and sign NDA and liability waiver upon onboarding.
