About The Role
FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Director to join our growing Mergers, Integrations, & Carve-Outs team. The Senior Director will work with clients in domestic and multinational companies across various and diverse industries.
The Senior Director will engage with our clients and teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness at all stages of integrations and carve-outs; from helping assess and identify inorganic growth opportunities, to carving out and divesting parts of the business and every aspect in-between. As a Senior Director, you will make an impact by leveraging your education and experience to address key business issues and help tailor solutions to each unique situation.
Additionally, the Senior Director role involves both project delivery leadership and business development.
What You’ll Do
In FTI Consulting’s M&A Advisory practice, we provide transactions support and advisory to organizations undergoing major transitions, such as mergers and buy- and sell-side carve-outs. We maximize the value of transactions by mitigating risk, minimizing business disruption, and accelerating the evolution to the new company operating model. Our team supports clients throughout the entire M&A transaction life cycle, from pre-deal efforts through post-integration, to drive value through the successful execution of strategic objectives while optimizing revenue and cost synergies.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the client team, delegate tasks, handle all elements of execution and manage the client relationship on each assignment
Guide and work alongside our buy-side and sell-side clients and teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness at all stages of integrations and carve-outs; from identifying inorganic growth opportunities to carving out and divesting parts of the business
Facilitate and execute functional integration and carve-out work streams and assist the client teams through the process lifecycle (current state, interim/desired state) and operating model development and optimization
Manage project budgets for profitability and billing
Assess standalone, one-time and stranded costs in a carve-out situation
Execute Day 1 through Day 100+ cross-functional interim and desired state planning, including timing for revenue and cost synergy capture
Design and negotiate transition service agreements (TSAs)
Design target state customer experience (CCXP) models
Develop and implement plans for revenue acceleration and sales effectiveness
Develop, create and implement organizational design changes, culture and change management programs and pre- and post-close communications plans
Develop work breakdown structure, scope, and/or problem solve for direct functional areas, considering cross-functional downstream and upstream impacts
Lead senior client-facing meetings and take full responsibility for client deliverables, including reports, written analyses, and presentations
Lead information sharing sessions and serve as a Subject Matter Expert on workstream areas that align with past experiences and skill sets
Develop new business by introducing new client prospects, attending industry events and cross-selling other FTI Consulting services
Serve in an interim management role to fulfill needed leadership gaps during a carveout or management transition when required
Serve as functional or industry lead and Subject Matter Expert for one or more deliverables of the MICO or Transactions practice.
Serve in multiple lead roles within a separation and/or integration team structure, e.g., Integration Management Office lead, Functional Workstream Lead, etc.

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Informational Systems, Economics, or related field of study
8+ years of post-graduate combined professional experience
Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing and leading 2+ resources on workstreams, specific deliverables and junior staff
Advanced proficiency in to project management tools, such as PowerBI, SmartSheet, or similar
Ability to develop client pitches
Working knowledge of the qualitative and quantitative aspects of business problems, with the ability to link business strategy to performance and due diligence research and content
Ability to assess current processes and make recommendations based on analysis
Ability to work with big data sets to conduct research and analysis on products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities, draw conclusions, and effectively communicate data
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and full MS Office suite
Ability to identify operational insights based onfinancial statements, corporate functions and underlying revenue, cost and operational performance drivers
Understanding of market & commercial dynamics and customer profitability drivers
