Job Title: Manual MachinistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in a dynamic machine shop environment. This role involves 90% machining work, with additional fabrication responsibilities to service and repair equipment for oil and gas clients. You will work with various machines including Haas Mills, Kingston Engine Lathes, Horizontal Lathes, Manual Mills, and Boring Mills. Experience with assembly and testing, particularly air testing, is a plus. All operations are managed through SAP.ResponsibilitiesPerform manual machining tasks using lathes, mills, grinders, and boring mills.Service and repair equipment for oil and gas clients.Execute assembly and mechanical tasks alongside machining duties.Operate and set up manual machine tools efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Conduct transactions and manage operations through SAP.Utilize torque tools and overhead cranes in machining processes.Ensure speed and accuracy in all machining tasks.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in manual machining.Proficiency in operating manual lathes and mills.Ability to read blueprints accurately.Experience with carbon and stainless steel.Familiarity with micrometers and calipers.Knowledge of CNC machining and related technologies.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with VTL or horizontal and vertical boring mills.Ability to work with pumps, compressors, and line boring.Strong mechanical inclination and willingness to train.Good communication and mathematical skills.Positive attitude and eagerness to grow professionally.Work EnvironmentWork in a temperature-regulated, brand-new machine shop alongside a team of 10 employees, including sales personnel. The shift generally runs from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime and potential call-outs on weekends. An average workweek consists of 50+ hours in a setting equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and tools.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Port Allen, Louisiana.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $85000.00/yr.WILL RELOCATE IF NEEDED.
