Job Details:
Coverage needed for September 8-22, 2023 Inpatient psychiatric care in an acute, long-term, and sub-acute psychiatric facility Average of 8-14 patients per day, split between provider and FNP Round on approximately 8 patients daily (up to 14) Sign off on IVC paperwork within 24-hour time period Review and approve required paperwork for the full-time mental health FNP Handle on-call responsibilities with approximately 3 phone consults per shift Manage 1-2 new admissions per shift when on call Treat various psychiatric conditions including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders Experience with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application preferred Utilize treatment techniques including pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy BLS certification required Active North Carolina medical license required Several airport options available: Charlotte Douglas, Asheville NC, or Greenville-Spartanburg Lodging recommendations include Carrier House, Holiday Inn Express, Air BNB, and Hampton Inn
