Oak Grove School District's focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. First and foremost in all activities is the safety of students as well as student success in the areas of math and reading/language arts interwoven with science, social studies and visual and performing arts. Student performance goals have been integrated into the state and federal accountability systems. Annually, the LCAP and SPSA's are updated with our students, staff and various community groups in keeping with our core values, the vision, and the annual goals.
The District is located in the southeastern corner of San Jose, California bounded by Capitol Expressway to the north, Canoas Creek to the west, Bernal Road to the south and the foothills to the east.

Job Description / Essential Elements:
To transport students to and from school within a designated route(s) and to ensure the safety of the students while passengers in the school vehicle. Employees in this classification receive general supervision from the Transportation Supervisor and within a well-defined framework of standard policies and procedures. Employees in this job class must be capable of driving all types of student transportation vehicles currently utilized by the district to ensure depth of coverage at all times.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Certification (California State School Bus Driver Certificate)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (To include Adult & Child-if restriction on school bus certificate)
  • DMV Printout (Driving History valid within 30 days)
  • Driver's License Copy (CDL-Commercial License class A or B)
  • Other (1. DL-51 DMV medical form (Medical Examiners Certificate) 2. DL-45 California Special Driver Certificate 3. T-01 (original copy) Training Certificate 4. T-02 (copy) Instructional Documentation)
