Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Class A CDL Drivers with heavy equipment operating experience to join our traveling track demolition crew. This position involves extensive travel, with up to 24 or more consecutive days on the road each month.
Responsibilities

  • Operate Class A CDL vehicles to transport equipment and materials to and from various project sites.
  • Assist track construction crew with dismantling and sorting railroad track materials, both physically and with machinery.
  • Operate front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, and other various walk-behind track equipment as needed.
  • Operate a boom truck with grapple and magnet attachments, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation.
  • Load and unload equipment using appropriate procedures and safety measures.
  • Maintain and inspect equipment regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, and other track equipment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating a boom truck with grapple and magnet attachments, with the ability to maintain equipment.
  • Experience in dismantling railroad tracks by physical or mechanical means preferred.
  • Ability to sort railroad materials physically or with machinery.
  • Proficiency in loading and unloading equipment, with the ability to operate and maintain the equipment effectively.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work out of town for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
