Position: Specialized Minivan Driver (7D) - Part-Time Location:Milford High School Schedule:2025-2026 School Year Salary: $23.72 / Hour To Start:August 2025 QUALIFICATIONS: •Must be 21 years of age or older •Must have 3 years or more of driving experience in the US •Valid driver's license •Valid 7D license (or able to obtain) •Have a good driving record •Successful completion of a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background check required •Successful completion of a fingerprint-based background check required SKILLS: •Maintain confidentiality at all times •Must be able to communicate effectively •Work as a team player •Ability to be flexible with schedule, route, etc. •Punctuality REPORTS TO: •Director of Transportation JOB DESCRIPTION: •Transport students (up to age 22) to and from various schools in a safe and timely manner, completing the required paperwork, and following protocols set in place by the Transportation Department. •Job hours vary up to 20-25 hours per week, Monday- Friday, and are based on a split shift (morning and afternoon) with various early release days following school calendars. Routes could go as far as MetroWest and Boston Area depending upon where the student goes to school. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide safe and timely transport of Milford students to and from the school/programs they attend. 2. Perform daily safety checks of vehicle and equipment, reporting any problems to the Director of Transportation. 3. Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of vehicle. 4. Ensure that the vehicle has adequate gasoline prior to beginning of the route(s). 5. Operate vehicle(s) in accordance with all Federal and State traffic laws. 6. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, student and mileage logs. 7. Secure students and/or equipment with any restraints, seat belts, car seats, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the safety and well-being of students. 8. Assist students to safely enter and exit the vehicle as needed. 9. Deal effectively with behavior issues during the route. Driver/Monitor must report any problems or concerns to the Transportation Coordinator and file an incident report. 10. Release students only to individuals identified as approved for release and contact the transportation office when in question. 11. Follow emergency protocols printed in the Van Driver/Monitor Manual. 12. Additional job duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
