Primary Purpose:
Provide administrative and clerical support to Special Education/Services staff for efficient departmental operation.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years clerical experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in keyboarding, Word, and Excel
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
Ability to work independently and work in a team-oriented environment
Knowledge of District organization and operations, as required for this position

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide administrative support for district administrative Special Services staff
- Fulfill records requests and maintain inactive student files.
- Prepare referral/transfer packets.
- Train staff on Special education software (eSped)
- Maintain supply and assessment inventory.
- Communicate with campus personnel to obtain data and information needed for submission to the Texas Education Agency.
- Compile data required for submission to the Texas Education Agency.
- Work collaboratively with administration leadership on School Health and Related Services (SHARS)
- Work collaboratively with the third party billing company used for School Health and Related Services (SHARS)
- Other duties as assigned.
