Position Overview
HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Business Class Lead to oversee national engagement in deep foundation design and construction, focusing on developing a cohesive geotechnical community of practice in the southeastern US (FL, AL, MS, TN, SC). The role involves representing HDR to clients, developing technical expertise, building strategic relationships, and supporting growth and staffing in geotechnical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the technical competencies of geotechnical staff in deep foundation design and construction.
- Engage in project delivery, providing expertise and resource planning.
- Manage and mentor geotechnical personnel.
- Promote the geotechnical practice and foster partnerships for innovative solutions.
- Contribute to standard improvements and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in strategic planning and project management.
- Develop marketing strategies, proposals, and represent HDR in client interactions.
- Collaborate with HDRs geotechnical leadership to align strategies.
- Facilitate national training programs and maintain instructor credentials.
Qualifications
Preferred: PE registration in AL, FL, MS, SC, TN within 6 months, extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, advanced knowledge in rock and soil mechanics, proficiency in geotechnical software, and a Masters degree in Engineering or related field.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, at least 10 years of experience, professional registration, leadership experience, and a commitment to HDRs values and culture.
