Pay Information $2,530 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years in Clienttion Oncology License: California Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, Chemo Certification Must-Have: 2 years of experience in Clienttion Oncology Experience with EPIC documentation Experience in outpatient oncology Ability to access ports and start peripheral IVs Knowledge of patient and family education and support Description: The Clienttion Oncology Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients with all cancer-related diagnoses, including but not limited to lung, breast, colon, brain, and gynecological cancers. The nurse will conduct CT simulations for diagnostic purposes, with and without IV contrast. Nurses will access ports and start peripheral IVs for treatment. The position requires knowledge of external radiation therapy and adherence to radiation safety precautions. Skills in managing alterations in skin and mucous membranes, as well as providing wound care, are essential. The nurse will support patients experiencing constipation or diarrhea, dysphagia, edema, nausea, vomiting, and neuropathy. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary support services, including pharmacy and social services. Responsibilities include monitoring patients’ conditions and providing education to patients and their families. The ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values is key. The nurse must be prepared to manage acute tumor lysis syndrome and administer various treatments, including chemotherapy.
