Here at Marshall Reddick Real Estate we are a fast-paced, software-centered, and rapidly changing full-service residential real estate investment firm. We provide multiple services to our clients including real estate brokerage, property management, private lending, and investment funds. We have a team of 150+ members across 9 offices in CA, TX, FL, and TN. Founded in 1979, we are committed to our mission to be the bridge connecting each client to financial independence through education, mentorship, and by providing a trusted system of buying, selling, and managing real estate and mortgages nationwide. We're seeking a motivated, ambitious, and detail-oriented Lending Operations Officer to join our private/hard money lending team. We originate first-lien business-purpose loans for residential real estate investors, funding an average of $10M across 40 loans monthly. The ideal candidate has lending operations experience and is eager to help scale a small, fast-growing program into a streamlined, high-performing operation. This is a key role with significant growth potential, requiring initiative, ownership, and strong cross-functional collaboration. The position starts with learning about our borrower clientele, loan programs, current systems and how the internal teams interact together. You will drive operational improvementsevaluating and potentially transitioning to third-party loan origination software, managing vendor relationships, creating protocols and training materials, and overseeing the implementation. You will work closely with our private lending team, software team, and executive management. Please note: This is not a remote position. What You'll Do
Oversee and continuously improve day-to-day operations of the private lending team, including loan assignment, document generation, funding, collateral file management, funds control, servicing, insurance monitoring, and payoff processing. Maintain and regularly update the Private Lending Team Handbook. Identify and build upon team and program strengths. Identify weaknesses and implement strategies for improvement. Support the evaluation and potential onboarding of a third-party Loan Origination System (LOS); if adopted, lead implementation and team training to ensure maximum efficiency. If retaining the proprietary LOS, assist in enhancing its capabilities and operational efficiency. Hire, train, and manage team members in alignment with short- and long-term business goals. Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings, set measurable goals, and lead performance reviews. Actively participate in team and sub-team meetings, driving actionable ideas and improvements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors; negotiate and manage third-party service providers. Licensing and compliance review, maintenance and reporting. Understand team financials and budget to assist in decisions, maintenance, and ownership of team profitability. Advise executive leadership with insights, feedback, and strategic recommendations for growth that align with private lending team goals. Perform other duties and undertake other projects as assigned by management. What Qualifies You
6+ years of operations and leadership experience in hard money lending preferred Strong understanding of technology and software systems Quick to learn, implement, and train others on new technologies and platforms Solid financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and analyzing financial statements Passion for residential real estate investing, including asset repositioning, refinancing, and profitable exits Strong foundation of credit, lending guidelines, escrow, title, and loan servicing A strong moral compass, ethics, integrity and compliance.
