**Job Description :** The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture and Entertainment
with signature wit, irreverence, and authority averaging 90 million unique monthly viewers. Over the past 224 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce. The New York Post digital team is looking for a **part-time** **Wellness Reporter (Sun-Tues, 9 am - 5 pm)** plugged into the world of health and wellness. This person must be a self-starter with excellent health contacts, as well as the ability to break down complicated studies into lively and informative copy. They'll be expected to write several stories a day on deadline, covering everything from trends and social media posts to new medical studies and breaking news. They may also spend time developing more deeply reported features. **Responsibilities:** + Craft clean, compelling and well-sourced health news articles on tight deadlines + Produce a variety of content, often juggling multiple projects at once + Pitch both timely and evergreen story ideas while monitoring trending health topics on social media + Analyze health studies and statistics, translating them into engaging and understandable copy + Quickly develop an understanding of New York Post readers and the kind of content they find engaging, relying on good news judgement and analytics + When necessary, edit and self-publish articles with adherence to publication standards ? **Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field + At least two years of experience as a health reporter + Exceptional writing skills with a keen understanding of SEO principles + Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh perspectives and angles on health topics + Strong knowledge of health trends, research methodologies and data analysis techniques + Proficiency in editing and self-publishing processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to publication guidelines + Experience using analytics tools to inform content strategy and identify audience interests + Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards + Proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS _Note: The NY Post adheres to a hybrid work model._ At The New York Post we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
