The Transit Management Analyst Trainee is an entry-level position that provides an opportunity to contribute to the oversight and enforcement of quality and warranty standards related to new subway cars. The position will assist in the development and maintenance of a database which will provide a tracking mechanism for all warranty data. The position will also assist with field inspections, compliance verification, and data analysis to ensure that newly delivered rolling stock meets contractual and operational requirements. Responsibilities include supporting the review and documentation of warranty claims, monitoring equipment performance and defect trends, participating in acceptance testing and post-delivery evaluations, and coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues. The position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards and strengthening warranty accountability across NYCT's fleet programs. Education and Experience

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Desired Skills

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work at various field locations on a 24 hour, 7 days/week basis in the performance of assigned tasks. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent decision-making skills. Selection Method

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
