The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us. The Platform Service team builds low latency, fault tolerant shared services and APIs to meet various business and customer needs. Your role will involve building applications to delivery customer healthcare data, handle customer onboarding and account management, and integrate to hospital and partner solutions, ensuring Dexcom remains the most connected CGM. You will lead the development of cloud-based software systems (APIs and Websites) as part of a multi-disciplinary team that works with an Agile methodology that integrates design, development, testing, and quality control. Participate in and drive gathering and documentation of technical requirements Directly interface with product managers, tech support, and customers occasionally, gaining an understanding of customer needs, providing support (both integration/onboarding and sustaining), and sharing customer feedback with the greater team Select development approaches that can accommodate high uncertainty in requirements and changing needs Drive and influence the technical architecture and design Influence and evangelize platform capabilities and architecture with larger audience Apply best practices for development, testing and deployment of application in an Agile environment Understand and look for opportunities to optimize quality management and business processes Support product assurance in diagnosing and resolving bugs Participate in on-call rotation for applications What makes you successful: You bring a rich experience developing full stack applications, preferably in a cloud environment, like AWS, Azure, or GCP. You have good knowledge of modern Auth and SSO frameworks such as OAuth 2.0, OpenId and/or SAML. You have excellent programming skills in Kotlin, Java, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Scala or other similar languages. You are experienced in building frontend and backend applications using modern frameworks and technologies. You have a background in building frontend and backend applications in a distributed systems using message brokers. You have previously worked with a NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB) or RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle) Familiarity using relevant, modern, software test tools and equipment You are experienced in building cloud-based, container components, CI and CD Pipelines You are experienced, and comfortable with, being part of a team that builds components as part of a distributed environment You possess the ability to work in a dynamic team environment, and possess time management skills to meet schedules and participate in Agile software development. You have exposure to GitHub Actions, Helm, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform. Bonus: You have experience with EHRs such as Epic or Cerner, FHIR integrations or other Healthcare Interoperability protocols such as HL7v2. Travel Required: 0-5% Experience and Education Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or a Masters degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience of a PhD and 2-4 years of experience. Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
