Preschool Director
This position is responsible for building strong, positive, trustworthy, relationships with all stakeholders (children, faculty, parents, on-site operator) and overseeing the implementation of our Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum called, "Wonder of Learning." This position oversees the teaching and learning at our School to ensure a positive, fun, safe, intentional environment. Responsibilities Build strong, positive, trustworthy relationships with all stakeholders (children, faculty, parents, Goddard Systems, On-Site Operator). Interview, onboard, train, mentor, support faculty with classroom environment, learning, instruction, and behavior management. Oversee the professional development of faculty including the evaluation and growth process. Plan and facilitate the school's regular faculty meetings as well as in-service days (and attend and lead those meetings), to include routine school matters and mission related educational discussions, and programs for professional growth. Mentor and coach faculty to ensure a positive, inspiring, safe, intentional, fun learning environment. Observe and support children and partner with families to ensure a productive learning and growing experience. Supervise the implementation of the Wonder of Learning Curriculum, School specific curriculums. Support the daily operation of the school including managing staff, parents, children, health & safety, education. Model a highly visible presence of the school's values and the standard for professional behavior. This Goddard School is a trilingual preschool which teaches English, Spanish, and Mandarin in a Reggio-Emilia style approach from birth through Pre-K. Experience 5-7 years as a Pre-School Director Proven experience in project management within an educational setting. Strong background in academic advising, curriculum development, and recruiting. Knowledge of Reggio-Emilia philosophy and approach Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
