Youth Mentor - Overnight Shift
Hours: 10:00pm - 8:00am Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour Rotating 2 week schedule: Week 1- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Location: 65 N 1150 Hurricane, Utah 84737 (On-Site) Are you passionate about helping adolescent males reach their full potential? Embark at Hurricane - Stabilization and Assessment is a residential treatment center that provides a nurturing, home-like atmosphere for highly acute adolescent males and their families. We specialize in addressing complex issues such as traumatic stress, family dynamics, relationship challenges, and mental health concerns, all with a focus on family-centered healing. Responsibilities
Provide overnight supervision of client emotional and physical safety Attend to the overnight security of the campus Provide early intervention ahead of and during emotional and behavioral crises Relaying any pertinent information over to the treatment team Consistent and thorough documentation and reporting Crisis prevention and management Maintaining a safe environment for clients Participate in staff bonding and house bonding activities Daily light housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning up/putting things away, dishes, etc. Enforcing a positive environment and being a role model Uphold professional boundaries while building trust and rapport. Qualifications
21 years old or older Current driver's license and a good driving record Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships. Ability to set and teach positive values Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid. Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative student Skill in de-escalating agitated students. Ability to pass a Utah State background check Must be willing to make an 8-month minimum commitment Benefits
