We are seeking skilled Traveling Welders surrounding the York County area with 2 to 3 years of experience. The role involves setting anchor bolts, wedge anchors, and applying epoxy for base and sole plates. Welders will work on miscellaneous metals including stairs, railings, ladders, loose lintels, and various steel components. Work includes carbon steel and processed pipes, requiring travel across the US. Travel may involve extended periods, with regional projects lasting up to three weeks before returning home. While we strive to offer a Travel on/Travel off schedule, local work availability cannot always be guaranteed. Responsibilities
Set anchor bolts, wedge anchors, and apply epoxy for base and sole plates. Weld miscellaneous metals including stairs, railings, ladders, loose lintels, and other steel components. Work with carbon steel and processed pipes. Assist manager, foreman, or superintendent as directed. Perform layout using drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. Read measuring tools with precision to 1/16" or 1 mm as required by drawings. Understand fabricating tolerances and maintain them as described on drawings. Operate welding machines and perform mig/stick/tig welding. Interpret written directions and specifications. Operate forklift, telehandler, manlift, overhead crane, metal saw, press brake, and iron worker. Practice basic rigging principles and techniques. Travel out-of-town for up to 2 weeks at a time as required. Work off hours to complete projects as necessary. Essential Skills
Proficiency in construction and welding. Ability to perform mig, stick, and tig welding. Experience with blueprint reading and iron work. Knowledge of rigging, industrial standards, and structural steel. OSHA 10 certification. AWS D1.1 certification. Why Work Here
